![]() Development update, where the Norsca situation is explained in detail, why they're releasing new DLC before Norscans and that fixing Norscans will take a long time:.Mortal Empires release and FAQ, where they complain how hard it is to port Norsca over:.Blog post about the coming release of Mortal Empires, where it's already said that Norsca will come in a separate update:.Here's a couple of blog posts to jog your memory: That's it, that's state of the game is all about. These are the stuff we are working on (no new content, just already ingame stuff that needs a little adjustment / fix )."please post stuff here if you are experiencing bugs".Everyone would be fine with the half broken state of the game if we'd get a blogpost (which CA set up and it's scheduling too which they couldn't keep themselves to after 2 blogposts) that actually sparks discussions about. Why do things always have to come to a boiling point for CA to actually fucking say something? Why do we have to wait to the point where a large part of the community starts to shit on the community managers (me included, yeah, because while I can emphasize with their situation, ultimately I am not a CA employee and I should care more about our situation), the lead dev has to come forward with a video message, and now even ex-employees - wildly unprofessionally - shit on the company too.īecause of a state of the game blogpost. So they started over from nothing, entire Norsca race and all the skill tree updates and everything copied without actually copying WHILE they were supposed to make DLC stuff.Īnd we know this because after 9-10 months of absolutely 0 communication there was a dev blog about this openly discussing the reasons.Īnd you'd think, this was like 6-7 years ago, they learned their lesson about managing teams, and now here we are, half of the Warhammer 2 ME content is bugged or outright broken in Warhammer 3 IE again, and people got so starved out for communication they were on the verge of rioting. Everyone's build is so different now we cannot put it together into a single one". Turns out they of course worked in ME on a different development branch because understandibly it was in W2 which quite differed from W1, but then they started to patch the broken shit of Warhammer 2 too on a different branch, they started to port the last W1 update (since W2 ME and W1 last patch were worked on at the same time) in ANOTHER different build branch, and when everything was finally done they realized: My favourite part regarding communication was when they went dead silent for 9 months about Mortal Empires (not Immortal!) and how messed up it's release was and for 9 months nobody knew just what the fuck can we expect, when the absolutely massive last patch Warhammer 1 got that rebalanced a lot units, reworked a fuckton of skill trees, added Norsca, 1 year anniversary units (RoR for every paid DLC race who never had any RoR) and all of that was missing from Warhammer 2 ME, and people were like, okay, they'll patch it in. ![]() Think we missed one?
